Following the Covid-19 outbreak a number of insurance companies have delayed, frustrated and rejected perfectly valid Business Interruption insurance claims.
Although it shouldn't be necessary unfortunately a lot of businesses find that they need to bring legal claims against insurers to force them to pay out.
Insurance Justice has teamed up with a number of law firms to help ensure businesses are able to get the insurance compensation that they are owed under their Business Interruption cover.
Once we have spoken to you and received the relevant documents and correspondence we will put you in touch with a law firm that will be able to take on your case. Once we have found you a law firm, they will discuss a range of potential funding options and consider whether it is possible to take on the claim under a conditional fee agreement, also known as a no win, no fee agreement. In many cases lawyers will be able to claim the costs of running a case from the other side.
Law firms will look to represent businesses in one of three ways:
If you are comfortable and give consent Insurance Justice can also highlight your case in the media to bring attention to the issue and help create more claimants for a multi-party action.
If you believe your business has a legal claim against an insurer following the Covid-19 outbreak in the first instance you should approach your insurance broker for help and advice on how to process a claim.
If the insurer has rejected your claim then you should contact us and we will help you to seek legal advice.
We will require you to send us your policy documents and any relevant correspondence with your insurer and insurance broker.
The relevant correspondence will be sent, with your consent to a law firm with expertise in insurance to assess whether you have a valid claim.
Any agreement you make will be made directly with the law firm. Insurance Justice will not tie you into any agreement. If a law firm is willing to take on your case it will draw up an individual contract with your business which will clearly outline all of the terms and conditions before you sign an agreement.
